Items you should never buy used

Buying used items can save you plenty of cash, but there are some things you should always buy new. Let’s take a look at the items that — if you can afford to — should be purchased new.

Children’s Furniture

Kids interact with their furniture in ways adults do not. Kids will chew on cribs and jump off bunk beds. You want the furniture to be as new as possible so that they’re up to date on safety guidelines.

Car Seats

Just like children’s furniture, you do not want to buy used car seats. It all comes down to safety. If you buy a used car seat, it might be missing parts or even worse, has been in a crash. Car seats that have been in a crash are compromised and not safe to use.

Medicine

Used medicine is another safety concern. You don’t know where that medicine has been and why it was offered up for sale.

Puzzles

If you buy a used puzzle, be prepared for it to be missing pieces. A safer bet is to buy new puzzles.

Nonstick cookware

As US News reports, there is growing research that shows non-stick pans are not good for your health. Over time, the coating flakes off and can be harmful if ingested. If you want non-stick cookware, opt for new ones only.
